冒險家葵姆在旅途中發現了傳說中的“天堂之梯”地宮，成為了500年以來第一個有幸進入這處遺蹟的人。然而在踏入遺蹟不久之後，她卻立即遭受了怪物的詛咒。為了設法解除詛咒，葵姆如今不得不向天堂之梯的頂端爬去，祈禱著能在那裡找到幫助她脫困的方法。
Quem, an adventurer, is the first person to step foot in the dungeon, "Heaven's Ladder", in over 500 years.
But not long after she does so, a strange shadowy monster casts some sort of curse on her.
"Come deep――into――this place――I shall await you at――the highest spot――", the apparition says before vanishing.
In order to break the curse, Quem teams up with the adventurer Vise to explore the dungeon and to uncover the meaning behind those mysterious words.
